We study the three dimensional free convective oscillatory flow and mass transfer of viscous and optically thin gray fluid over a porous vertical plate with transverse sinusoidal suction in the presence of radiation. The governing partial differential equations have been transformed to ordinary differential equations. Numerical solutions are obtained for different values of radiation parameter, Grashof number and Schmidt number.Keywords

A theoretical analysis of free convective flow of viscous incompressible fluid through a porous medium bounded by a flat porous plate subject to periodic suction and constant heat and mass flux has been presented. The flow becomes three dimensional due to variation of suction velocity in transverse direction. Analytical expression for velocity, temperature, concentration and skin friction are obtained using perturbation technique. Numerical solutions are obtained for different values Grash of number (Gr), mass Grashof number(Gc), Prandtl number (Pr), Schmidt number (Sc) and Radiation (R). It is found that non-dimensional velocity increases with increase of Gr, Gc and Sc and decreases with increase of R, non-dimensional temperature decreases with increasing of R, Concentration decreases with increase of Sc. and skin friction co-efficient increases with increase of Gr and R but effect of Gr is more than R.Keywords

In this paper the effect of hall current, chemical reaction, radiation on a free convective flow bounded by a vertical plate embedded in a porous medium under the influence of uniform magnetic field, which is applied normal to the surface, is studied. The permeability of the porous medium fluctuates in time about constant mean. The problem is solved analytically and expressions for velocity, temperature and concentration have been obtained. The effect of permeability, magnetic number, hall parameter, radiation parameter, Grashof number, modified Grashof number, chemical reaction on velocity, temperature and skin friction and heat transfer amplitude and phase are obtained and shown respectively with the help of figures and tables and are discussed in detail.
